What type of adverts can I place on this site?The only adverts we allow on Pixel Villas Spain are those which are for properties (either for sale or rent) and businesses which are based in Spain or the Spanish islands.
The reason for this is that we want to keep the site focused on one topic - Spain. This gives our advertisers the confidence that their advert will not be lost in a mass of worldwide pixel blocks. The links at the top of each grid give visitors a single click method of finding the property / businesses in the regions they are interested in.

How do I advertise on Pixelvillas.com?Easy. Click anywhere on the grid (or the 'Get Pixels' link) on the page where you want your ad to appear, then follow the instructions on each of the subsequent pages - including the payment page :)

Featured pixel ads have a limit of 200 characters in their title text
Regional pixel ads have a limit of 100 characters in their title text
make sure you use as many of them as you can, and don't forget to include your contact details if you don't have a website.

Why is my property ad limited to 50 x 50 pixels?Good question: or in other words - are you limiting yourselves to a smaller potential revenue by having a lower number of pixel ads than is possible?
We thought long and hard about this. We wanted to have a neat, tidy and more importantly, uniform look to each of the pages, so it was decided that all the property pixel ads would be the same size. Which means that everyone (big advertising budget or not) would pay the same price.
The next question was - what size should that be?
The 50 x 50 grid came about after much trial and error - anything smaller and you could hardly make out any detail in the individual pixel ad and anything bigger, see statement above re: lower potential revenue. We do want to make some money after all :)

Why can't I buy a single pixel for my business ad?It's a question of practicality really. One pixel would be almost impossible to click on accurately and you can't really show anything to promote your business / website in such a tiny image.
Hence the minimum purchase price for business pixel ads is set at £5 (£10 on featured adverisers page) for one 10 x 10 pixel block.
You can, of course, buy as many of these as you wish. Join the blocks together if they're available, and make yourself a bigger pixel ad.

Why are you selling pixel ads for Spanish properties / businesses if you're in the UK?Simply because there are more British people buying in Spain than in any other overseas destination.
We added a businesses section to each page so that local shops / restaurants etc. could advertise their services directly to the people who were looking to buy or rent in that region - and at such a cheap price too :)

How long will my pixel ad be live on the Pixelvillas wesite?All pixel ads, regardless of whether they're for properties or businesses, will be live on the site for at least one year - unless you want it removing before then (e.g. you sell your property and want your ad removed).
Please note, if your pixel ad has been approved and made live on the site, then there are no refunds for unused pixel time.

Why should I create a pixel ad for my Spanish property / business?Because you will have an image and a link to your website on the homepage (if it's a featured ad) or on a regional page which is just one click away, on a site that could potentially be seen by millions of people over the coming years.
Each pixel ad will be live for at least one year, so the amount of traffic that could be generated to your site (or contact details shown if you don't have a website), should be phenominal.

Why should I advertise here instead of a normal property web portal?It's true, there a number of web portals already offering advertising space for your Spanish holiday home, be it for rent or for sale (albeit not many offer space for businesses on the same pages!).
The difference with us is that we offer a direct link to your own website (or show your contact details if you don't have one) from a high traffic site where visitors can find your ad with a maximum of two clicks.
Our philosophy is that if you have a website, then here is a perfect way to create extra traffic to it where your visitors can see all the details, photos and up-to-date prices etc. of your property.
Also, once you have created your pixel ad, you are able to make changes to it at any time for no extra cost via your own admin system.

How much does it cost to buy pixels?We have simple price structure based around whether your pixel ad is a featured ad (on the homepage) or a regional ad (any of the others).
Featured pixel ads (on the homepage) are priced at:
Property ads (the big ones at the top):
- one 50 x 50 pixel block is £10 and will be live on the site for one year. You can purchase as many of these blocks as you want - as long as there are any left on the page.
Business ads (the smaller ones at the bottom):
- one 10 x 10 pixel block is £10 and will be live on the site for one year. You can purchase as many of these blocks as you want - as long as there are any left on the page.
Regional pixel ads (on each of the region pages) are priced at:
Property ads (the big ones at the top):
- one 50 x 50 pixel block is £5 and will be live on the site for one year. You can purchase as many of these blocks as you want - as long as there are any left on the page.
Business ads (the smaller ones at the bottom):
- one 10 x 10 pixel block is £5 and will be live on the site for one year. You can purchase as many of these blocks as you want - as long as there are any left on the page.
That's it! - no complicated pricing zones just £10 or £5 depending upon which page you want your pixel ad to appear.
Note: it's up to you to make sure you pay the correct amount if you want to pay in other currencies than GBP. Paypal is ideal for this.

When will my pixel ad be live?We aim to approve all new pixel ads within 24-48 hours as long as they meet with our conditions i.e. no links to adult, offensive, hate, etc, etc sites are allowed.
Only pixels ads that are for Property / Land (for sale or rent) and Businesses in (or who deal with) Spain will be approved and made live.

Can I have a pixel ad for more than one property / business?Sure, just go through the same process of pixel ad creation for each of your properties / businesses.

How do I pay for my pixel ad?At the moment, we only accept payment via Paypal. Don't worry if you don't have a Paypal account as you can easily set one up after clicking on the 'Paypal' button (shown after you have created your pixel ad).
PayPal is the secure, free, easy way to pay and lets you pay without sharing your financial information. With PayPal, privacy is built in.

What should I do if I sell my property?Just let us know and we'll take it off the site for you. The pixel space your advert occupied will then become available for public sale again. Unfortunately we cannot refund any money for unused pixel ad time.
